The service
Flashscribe converts your audio and video into transcripts and subtitles. Free accounts get 3 files a day up to 30 minutes each, and can watch 2 sources (25 on paid plans). Paid hours cover everything past that: a file deducts exactly its audio length from your balance, with a 10-hour cap per single file.
Plans & credits
Subscription plans include a monthly allowance of transcription hours that resets each billing cycle - unused plan hours don't roll over. Top-up credit packs are one-time purchases that never expire and are spent only after your plan hours. Hours aren't transferable between accounts and are refunded to your balance automatically if a transcription fails. Purchases aren't refundable for cash except where the law requires it.
The API
Building your own product on the API is welcome - that's what it's for. API usage draws on your paid hours and follows these same terms. Keys are tied to your account and you're responsible for what's done with them - keep them secret and revoke any key you suspect leaked. Account sharing and automating the free daily allowance aren't covered.
Your content
You own your uploads and your transcripts. You grant us only the license needed to process and store them for you. You're responsible for having the right to transcribe what you upload - recording-consent laws vary by place.
Accuracy
Transcripts are machine-generated and can contain errors. Review before relying on them for legal, medical, or other high-stakes use - the service is provided as-is, without warranty.
Billing & cancellation
- Plans renew monthly: Starter $10 (30h), Pro $50 (150h), Scale $100 (300h).
- Top-up packs are one-time purchases: 5 hours for $3, 20 hours for $8.
- Cancel anytime in Settings - your plan runs to the end of the paid cycle and doesn't renew.
- After cancelling you keep unused top-up credits - transcripts stay downloadable.
Termination
We can suspend accounts that break these terms or abuse the service. You can delete your account (and everything in it) from Settings at any time.
